We know that many therapists prefer attending CPD courses in person. Just like us, they enjoy the tutor input real-time and learning from the wisdom of group discussion and skills practice for embodied learning.

In the meantime, professional bodies such as BACP and UKCP are recognising that many CPD courses continue to run as online learning. The Grove's understanding is that CPD certificates for online learning in 2021 and 2022 will be recognised by membership organisations, as part of the ongoing Covid response. Initially in 2020, professional bodies including BACP stated that training institutes should maintain continuity so that students could continue with their qualifications and continue to collect CPD hours. Whilst there is an expectation that training in person will resume in future, it is also acknowledged that many therapists continue to see clients online out of concern for everyone's safety and reduction of infectivity. Therefore it makes sense that CPD would also continue online during this period of time.
